Student Life and Learning produce a wide range of publications to promote their various services, programs and initatives to students and staff.

We have made a number of these available to download from this page in PDF format. You may want to refer students to these publications as a way of letting them know about services which may be of use to them during their studies.

If you require hard copies of any of these publications for use in your school, faculty or service point then please contact the department named on the individual publication. Alternatively you can email studentlifeandlearning@unsw.edu.au and we will be happy to help.

Professional Development

Our prestigious AHEGS accredited Leadership Program offers students a mix of formal training, volunteering and development workshops to help them gain the edge in the workforce.

In collaboration with a number of industry partners, GAP is designed by industry to assist students in developing the professional skills employers really look for. These organisations are seeking students who can complement their technical skills with the right 'soft' skills in order to create more efficient and productive work environments.

This program is an initiative to aid UNSW international students with English as a second language to further develop their communication skills in a professional setting and gain practical workplace experience to enhance their career opportunities.

The Program consists of two components:
  • A three-day seminar on business communication, customer service skills, employer expectations and the recruitment process
  • A 50-100 hour office internship program organised by Careers and Employment and run in various departments at UNSW
